Join the San Mateo RCD during the first big rain of the year for California’s longest-running community science project!

You can help ensure clean creeks, beaches, and oceans by volunteering for First Flush. This amazing opportunity will give you a chance to be a scientist for the day. You will help us collect water samples, record field data, and meet fellow volunteers! Water samples will be collected at 16 sites between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay and tested for bacteria, metals, and nutrients, which negatively impact humans and wildlife.

Anyone is welcome and there is no experience necessary. Please spread the information to friends and family you think might be interested. We hope to see you at the volunteer training.

Volunteer training will be held on Zoom Wednesday September 14th, 2022 at 05:30 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada).

Please register in advance for this meeting at the link below.
