The San Mateo Resource Conservation District (SMRCD), in partnership with the California State Parks Department (State Parks), welcomes contractors to bid on the Little Butano Creek Flow Enhancement, Butano State Park Project (Project) to reduce water demand and improve streamflow on Little Butano Creek. Project activities include installation of a new 100,000-gallon raw water storage tank, replacement of approximately 4,950 lineal feet of water pipeline, and replacement of low-efficiency fixtures and leaking hose spigots.

The purpose of this request for bids is to select a contractor (Contractor) for the Project to conduct the following implementation activities: (1) installation of one (1) 100,000-gallon welded steel raw water storage tank and concrete ring wall foundation  (2) installation of approximately 4,000 linear feet of 3” diameter SDR 11 High density polyethylene (HDPE) water transmission pipeline primarily in park roadways (3) installation of approximately 950 linear feet of 1 ½” HDPE water transmission pipeline in park roadways (4) reconnection of the new pipelines to the existing system including associated vaults, handholds, valves, and appurtenances as well as 9 toilets and 12 spigots as shown on the contract Drawings and specifications. Implementation of these measures will create water security for State Parks, minimize the chance of catastrophic leaks occurring within the water system, and allow more water to be left instream for threatened and endangered steelhead trout and coho salmon.

A mandatory pre-bid tour will be held at the project site. Attendance is required for all bidders.
