Community gardens and urban farms are special hubs where communities can bloom. They act as a source of healthy, fresh food for urban residents as well as an opportunity for people to connect and spend time in nature. As part of our ongoing Urban Agriculture program, the RCD partnered with the National Association of Conservation Districts to provide conservation technical assistance to urban agriculture and to highlight some successful examples of urban agriculture in San Mateo County. We’re excited to share what was originally planned as an Open House-style self-guided tour to folks sheltered in place with the magic of satellite imagery and visual storytelling.
