SAN GREGORIO CREEK STREAMFLOW ENHANCEMENT PROJECT, KLINGMAN-MOTY FARM

The San Mateo Resource Conservation District (RCD) seeks qualified contractors to bid on the San Gregorio Creek Streamflow Enhancement Project, Klingman-Moty Farm (Project). The Project consists of the construction of an 18.5 AF agricultural water storage pond. The pond will be built at Klingman-Moty Farm located in San Gregorio California. The intent of this project is to 1) enhance stream flows in San Gregorio Creek for the benefit of native steelhead and coho salmon and 2) increase water security and maintain viable agriculture on the property.

This Project is a voluntary effort by the landowner to enhance streamflows in coastal streams in San Mateo County for the benefit of coho salmon and steelhead, and to improve water security for farming operations. This Project is carried out through a partnership between the RCD and Trout Unlimited (TU, project partners), with grant funding from the Department of Water Resources (DWR) Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) plan, California State Coastal Conservancy (SCC) and the Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB).

A mandatory pre-bid site inspection will be held at the project site on April 23rd, 2019 from 11am to 12pm. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is required. If planning to attend, confirm with Jarrad Fisher by email to jarrad@sanmateoRCD.org.
