The San Mateo Resource Conservation District (RCD) seeks contractors to support the RCD’s creek habitat enhancement projects throughout San Mateo County. The overall goals of the program include restoring fish passage by removing barriers, increasing creek complexity for through installation of large wood, and creating and enhancing fish habitat.

The RCD seeks qualified contractors to support various activities related to these habitat enhancement projects including:

  • Project planning and development
  • Technical surveys (e.g. hydrologic, hydraulic, geomorphic, etc.)
  • Designs
  • Grant writing
  • Permitting (e.g. California Environmental Quality Act, Coastal Development Permits, CDFW Lake or Streambed Alteration, ACOE/RWQCB 401/404, avoidance and minimization measures, biological assessments, etc.)
  • Implementation oversight support (e.g. biological monitoring, engineer oversight, wage/labor compliance, etc.)

Projects may include one or more of the above activities. Firms may respond to one or more of the above activities. Firms may respond individually or as a team.
