The San Mateo Resource Conservation District (RCD) welcomes qualified contractors to bid on the Butano Farms San Francisco Garter Snake Habitat Enhancement Project (project).

The project will improve habitat to support recovery of the endangered San Francisco garter snake and threatened California red-legged frog while also supporting active grazing. The project is located just south of the town of Pescadero, CA within Butano Farms, part of the Cloverdale Ranch complex owned and managed by Peninsula Open Space Trust. The total project area is 65 acres and actions include modification of approximately 2 acres of pond and wetland and 14.5 acres upland vegetation management. This project is carried out through a partnership between the RCD and Peninsula Open Space Trust, with funding from PG&E.

A mandatory pre-bid tour will be held at the project site. Attendance is required for all bidders.
When: Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Butano Farms, Pescadero (driving directions will be provided upon RSVP)

Access to the project site is via dirt road; high clearance vehicle recommended.

Bids are due June 21, 2021 by 12:00 p.m. NOON (PST) to amy@sanmateoRCD.org. A virtual public opening of the bids will be held the same day (June 21) at 4:00 p.m.
